Did you know I love you?
Yes you, my regular reader who shares my posts, provides thoughtful commentary, and flatters me from time to time. Your praise and especially feedback motivates me to constantly improve Dance World Takeover.
This week, I want to give a shout-out my supporters and tell you about a NEW FEATURE on DWT! (Scroll to the bottom if you are impatient.)
First an acknowledgement of my supporters. Here’s a sample of the ridiculously nice words I’ve received in the past two months:
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog and postings to facebook. They are invariably funny, human and wise… and I don’t even dance lindy.”
“Love your blog and your posts! Your insight really helps to understand both where I’ve come from on my own dance journey, but also how the newbie dancers that I’m helping teach are approaching learning the dance.”
“I love your blog and wish you nothing but the best. Your passion for dance just oozes off the page.”
“I just discovered your blog this week and think that it is a wonderful resource!! I have enjoyed reading it very much!!”
“I have to thank you for writing so many interesting dance articles… I’m reading them for a long time already and it’s always inspiring, thanks for that!”
“Rebecca, you have an eminently readable writing style that conveys the fun of swing dancing.”
“My dad recently introduced me to your blog. I just have to say I love everything I’ve read of yours. I teach dancing and you explain things so well. What you are writing really applies to it all. Thank you for your wonderful writing!”
“I checked out your blog. It is great. Honest, sweet, clear, funny and inspiring. Keep it up!”
“Thank you so very much for your blog, your advice, and all your help!! I’ve only been dancing a year and you have added so many dimensions to my experience!”
“I just wanted to say that I LOVE your blog! I primarily dance West Coast Swing, and I love how so much of your blog is super relevant to all social dancers! Just wanted to let you know that you have a fan.”
Yeah, it’s a long list of praise. If you think I’m bragging, I’ll have you know I cut it in half to keep it from seeming ridiculous. (THAT’s bragging.)
Bottom line, my work makes a difference.
Thank you for continually letting me know that. It means so much to me; you have no idea!
And as always, I want to push DWT even further: Help more people, stay relevant, and continue engaging social dancers.
Ever wonder why my posts seem so relevant? I collect survey responses, start conversations, solicit feedback in comments, and peruse a wide variety of dancer’s blogs. In my narrow niche, I work hard to stay on top of what’s moving and what’s irking dancers.
I want to kick it up a notch.
Here’s the news.
Today, I’m adding a simple but powerful new element to Dance World Takeover:
A question and answer column!
Normally I reply privately to emails asking for advice. But when it’s just between you and me, we miss the opportunity to reach out to others. By making the conversation public, we can inspire more people and include more voices. You are not alone; there are others feeling and wondering the same things!
From now on, a portion of DWT posts will be dedicated to answering YOUR questions. Want me to write about a particular problem you have? Simply fill out my contact form, and I’ll let you know if I decide to use your question.
So, what are your dance problems? Send me your question now!
No question is too big or too small, too mundane or too stupid. Let’s take over the world, one problem at a time.
